With (plans-with.com) collects as little as it needs to run a shared trip room. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
1. What we collect
- What you put in a room: the name and face you pick, the trip name, destination and dates, your chips (budget, energy, must-haves, hard nos), chat messages, votes and checklist ticks.
- Your Google account: you sign in with Google, so we receive your Google name, email address and profile picture, and we keep which rooms you belong to. We don't see your Google password.
- Your location, only if you tap 📍: the chat has a button that shares where you are with the AI host for your next message. Your browser asks permission first. We round it to roughly 100 metres, send it to our AI provider with that one message, and don't save it. It is never shown to the rest of the room.
- AI answers, to improve them: we keep the most recent few hundred questions asked of the AI host, a short excerpt of each answer, which tools it used, how long it took, and any thumbs up or down. These are stored without your name or account, only visible to the people who run With, and older ones are dropped automatically.
- Technical data: a keyed hash of your IP address (not the address itself) to enforce rate limits, and standard server logs from our host.
2. Cookies and browser storage
- A per-room cookie that proves this browser joined the room as you. Without it, anyone could act as you.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Browser storage that remembers your rooms and which messages you've read, kept on your device.
3. Why we use it
- To run the room: show your crew what you wrote and keep everyone in sync.
- To let the AI host answer, based on the room's details and conversation.
- To keep the service safe: stop abuse, spam and people acting as someone else.
4. Who processes it for us
- Vercel: hosts the website.
- Neon: stores rooms and accounts in its database.
- OpenAI: generates the AI host's replies. When the host answers, the room's details, members' chips and recent messages in the With thread are sent to OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train its models.
- Google: sign-in.
- Ko-fi: if you choose to leave a tip, it is handled by Ko-fi under its own terms. We never see your card details.
These providers may process data outside your country, under their own safeguards.
5. Links to other sites
When you follow a link to Booking.com, GetYourGuide or another site you leave With, and that site's own privacy policy applies. Some of those links carry a partner id so the site can tell With earned a commission on a booking; it doesn't include your name, email or anything from your room.
6. Who can see your room
Everyone who has the room's invite link and joins can see its members, chips and chat. Don't put passport numbers, card details or other sensitive information in a room.
7. How long we keep it
Rooms are kept so your crew can come back to them, until you ask us to delete them. Rate-limit records hold no IP address and only count the last day. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a room or your account data. Email support@plans-with.com with the room link, and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example under Israel's Privacy Protection Law or the EU GDPR), you may also complain to your data protection authority.
9. Children
With is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions or requests: support@plans-with.com.
